Feed Back to Math trip to St. Peters

Hmm..

Last week, we went as a math class to St.Peters Univ.. When we got there, we firstly ate lunch.
It was really good, maybe. Anyway I ate a lot of food that all the people looked at me in a weird way. After the lunch, we went to some kind of class room to listen to the math teacher`s lecture.
I forgot his name. During the lecture, just maybe 3 people, me, Dim ma and Mary asked questions about the Geometry theories. And I saw Lexi sleeping right over there in front of the teacher. loll . It was so funny. Anyway, we learned about three different types of geometry. Ethgorem? Hyperbolic and Spherical Geometry. It was really new things for me to compare three different geometry and it was boring for me. Since I like number more than shapes. But, over all, I think the trip was very useful. Maybe, it would be better for the students who are interested in theories of the math to go there and listen to the lecture.kkk Otherwise, you will fall in a sleep!

Is it efficient for people to agree to share the bill when they go to a restaurant?

This is one of the best problems when you go to a restaurant with friends. Because it is like veiled psychological problem between their minds.
I believe all of you have been to a restaurant with your friends at least once.( If you are not a loner.)
After you go to a restaurant, eat really nice and tasty food, maybe eat some salads with strawberry milkshakes and then you think `wow, this restaurant is fantastic.`. And all of a sudden, the bill comes to your table. And Silence, And Silence, and silence maybe for a minute.
Because you do not know how much you have to pay out of the whole bill. Maybe you would think, `Should I pay all of them? So I can be like a tough guy, or should I pay just of mine, but it is gonna make me small girl.` hmmmm
As I talked about on the above, this is normally what happens when you do not say anything about the bill before you order something. So my point is that when you go to a restaurant, we should agree to share the bill. That way, we do not have to worry about others but eat the food whatever we can afford to eat.

(TUE) Why do theatres discount prices on spare tickets just before a performance wheras airlines and rail companies raise prices for last minute cust.

Why would they be different even though they are selling same tickets to customers?
It is a very easy answer, if you think little bit careful about our life examples.
For example, normally those tickets that they sell at the last minute from the theaters are those which are gonna be useless after that show or performance. So those theaters-related people want to sell those tickets by even lowering the price. On the other hand, airplane tickets and rail companies are business which are related to time travel, which means that by having that one last ticket it would change someone`s important issues. For example, airplane company are less affected whether selling the last ticket or not than theaters` company. Because it is not like that they are having flight schedules on certain days of the year, but they regularly have flights for the same destination. For example, airplane companies does not really bother if they sell the ticket to Korea on Monday or next Friday, because at least they are selling it someday. But for the customers who are in real emergency who need to go abroad for really bad or good reason, then it matters for them. So the last minute ticket from the airplane and rail company gets more expensive as it comes to the D-day. While the last minute ticket for the performance in the theater gets lower.

Why are brown eggs are more expensive than white eggs?

After I wrote about this topic yesterday, my Economic teacher Chris advised me about how could I add more reasons for this topic.

I think the reason for the brown eggs are more expensive than the white eggs are because of that those people who raise them feed more food to the hens who lay brown eggs.
However, the reason is not only because of it but also that people may have some kind of perception that the price is already high, so these eggs might be better or something or at least better for me. So maybe this kind of perception also controls the price of eggs.

Answer: Statistics, extrapolations and counting by Radicati Group from August 2008 estimate the number of emails sent per day (in 2008) to be around 210 billion.
183 billion messages per day means more than 2 million emails are sent every second. About 70% to 72% of them might be spam and viruses. The genuine emails are sent by around 1.3 billion email users.

Why are brown eggs are more expensive than white eggs?

After I asked my friend about the topic and asked for the advice, my friend told me the reason why the brown eggs are more expensive than white eggs are because those chickens who lay brown eggs take more food and take more hands from the owners than the other chickens who does not lay brown eggs. That is why the brown eggs cost more than white eggs.

Why are prices in a hotel mini-bar so expensive?

There is a reason why the prices in a hotel mini-bar is so expensive. Because normally in a hotel there is only one bar or at most two bars, so if you stay in a hotel and at night you feel like to drink or have a chat with your buddy, you would prefer to go to the mini-bar which is placed really close to where you live. So the owner of the mini-bar who knows how business goes around, make the price of everything in the mini-bar really high. Because he know that there are not many of options for people who does not have time or who is rich. That is why the price of mini-bar is really expensive. This is called smart business. lol

What explains the low cost of renting a car compared to hiring a dinner suit?

The law of supply and demand explains the low cost of renting a car compared to hiring a dinner suit. I think this problem can may be solved in two ways. Firstly, the low cost of renting a car could be because of that there are a lot of cars to rent but there are just few people who want to rent a car with an expensive price. So the car company lowers the price of renting a car to attract lots of people to actually rent them. Secondly, it might be because of that there are a lot of cars to rent and also a lot of different car companies. Maybe to attract more customers than any other companies, all of these companies will make better option than others including prices. So the price is keep going down because of competition.

Why did Japanese kamikaze pilots wear helmets?

During the war, Japan needed a really good way to defend themselves from the enemies. So the government forced smart airplane university students to become `kamikaze pilots` or `Divine wind suicide pilots`. And these kamikaze pilots always wore helmets for their flight. The reason for wearing this helmets were to keep their goggles on in the wind so that they could see their targets properly, to hold their headsets, radios and oxygen masks while they are flying to their destination. They had reason to wear this helmets every time!!

Why is there a light in your refrigerator but not in your freezer?

It is really weird if you realize that there is a light in your refrigerator but not in your freezer. I wondered too lol. But after I did a little bit of research, I found out it is a really simple knowledge. Because inside the refrigerator, the temperature of the container is not that cold to give an effect on the lamps in the refrigerator. But if you imagine that there is a hot light bulbs inside a freezer which is at least below 0`C or lower.... and think what would happen to the light bulbs.....?
It would pop up!!!!!
So that is why there is no lights in the freezer.

Why are whales, but not chickens, in danger of extinction?

Even though there are still a lot of whales and chickens out there in the World, why would people say that only the whales are in danger of extinction? After I researched on the internet I found out clearly it is because of that whales can produce normally only one baby whale but chickens can produce more than one egg at least. And it also mentioned that chickens, cows and pigs are not in danger of extinction because those farmers said that they can produce millions of them in every year compared to that the number of whales are decreasing every year!
So, we must stop whaling around the sea! Specially Japanese fishermen!

Why does a $500 tuxedi rent for $90 a day while a $ 20,000 car rents for only $40?

Some people might wonder why is it more expensive to rent a $500 tuxedo than renting a $200,000 car. I think it is because that it is harder to get into an accident than getting dirty things on tuxedo so which proves for the car company to rent a car cheap. Furthermore, maybe it is because that they produce more cars than tuxedo which makes the car renting prices go down, which can be interpret as that there are more people who would rent a car than tuxedo, so a lot of car companies have to compete with each other and finally make the price the lowest.

Why do female models earn so much more than male models?

To answer this question, we should know about the values of using opposite sex models.
The reason that female models get paid more than male models because women`s fashion is hugely larger than men`s fashion business and female models also do cosmetics which male models rarely doe.
